SF5 has detailed fighters and background characters that look like they were imported from Crazy Taxi on the Dreamcast. One of the reasons Guilty Gear Xrd looks so awesome is that the backgrounds are just as beautiful as the foregrounds. What makes graphics look good is aesthetic consistency. The background characters don't look like they exist in the same universe as the fighters, hair looks like it's made out of plastic or Play Doh, and some of the characters just look flat out stupid. Like many others have said, the art design in SF5 is terrible, too. The music is half the reason SF2 aged so well. A game is a whole package of visuals, sounds, and controls. Really, who's kidding themselves, here? Capcom's not going to top SF2. I'd like to be excited about this game, but honestly, it's just another butt log that's going to be inferior to Street Fighter 2.
